Re-energised town centre artistic impression

Along with the creation of a vibrant new town centre for Hailsham the regeneration of the town centre will include a considerable number of benefits for local people, Hailsham and the district more widely:

  • Creation of new local jobs and apprenticeships, both during construction and once the scheme is completed
  • New and improved healthcare facilities
  • New flexible community space for local groups
  • New homes for local people including a portion of affordable homes
  • An increase in sustainability across the town through technology advancements, modes of transport and heating and energy strategies
  • New public green spaces
  • Reducing carbon emissions on site and delivering a project that goes toward achieving the targets set out in Wealden District Council’s Climate Change Action Plan
